Terms of Service

These terms of service in short

• Test only apps you own or have permission to test, and prefer a test or staging copy with test accounts.
• One credit runs one test once; a scan costs 5. Chat, fix prompts and adding tests are free.
• Pro renews until you cancel, and cancelling takes one click. Unused credits can be refunded as section 5 describes.
• Results are written by AI and can be wrong, so check the screenshots before you rely on one.
• Your apps and results stay yours. We process them only to run the service, as the privacy policy explains.

1. What TestRuna does

You give TestRuna the address of a web app. A browser on our servers opens it, follows its links, designs tests for what it finds and then runs them: it clicks, types test data and checks the result, taking screenshots along the way. Tests that create or change data (sign-ups, posts, orders) only run when you turn on Allow data changes for that app. If you add a test account, our browser signs in with it.

2. Acceptable use

You may only point TestRuna at apps you own or are authorized to test. You agree not to use it to:

• test, scan or collect data from a site whose owner has not given you permission;
• load-test, flood or slow down any site, or get around rate limits, anti-bot checks, paywalls or other access controls;
• sign in with accounts that are not yours, or reach other people's personal data;
• break the law, or the terms of the site you are testing.

Use a test or staging copy of your app and test accounts where you can. Our browser identifies itself in its user agent (see our browser), so site owners can recognize and block it. We may block addresses and suspend accounts that break these rules.

3. Your account

You sign in with Google. An account is for one person, and you are responsible for what is done with it. Each Google account you sign in with is a separate TestRuna account with its own apps and credits. You can delete your account at any time from the Billing page; that deletes your apps, results and screenshots straight away.

4. Plans, credits and payment

• Running one test once costs 1 credit, whether AI records it or replays a recording. Scanning an app costs 5 credits. Chat, fix prompts, adding tests and the demo shop are free. Credits are spent the same way in the workspace, over MCP and through the API.
• Plan credits come with your plan: 100 a month on Free, or Pro's allowance for the period you paid for, granted at the start of the period. They are spent first, expire when the period ends and do not roll over.
• Pro renews automatically every month, quarter or year, at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel. Cancel any time on the Billing page in one click; Pro and its credits stay until the end of the period you paid for, and nothing more is charged. Switching to another billing period starts the new one right away, stops the old one from renewing and carries its unused plan credits over.
• Extra credits are one-time packs. They are spent after plan credits and do not expire while TestRuna operates.
• Prices are in US dollars. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your card details.
• A test that cannot start because of a problem on our side is not charged, and a scan that fails is refunded automatically.

For example, scanning an app that gets 20 tests and running all of them twice uses 5 + 20 + 20 = 45 credits. On Free, that leaves 55 of the month's 100.

5. Refunds

If you have not used any credits from a pack, write to us within 14 days of buying it and we will refund it in full. If you cancel within 14 days of your first Pro payment and have not used its plan credits, we refund that payment too. Later renewals are not refunded; cancel before the next one instead. Duplicate charges and credits that never arrived are always put right. Where the law where you live gives you further rights, those apply as well. When a payment is refunded or disputed, the credits it bought are removed, as far as they have not been spent.

6. API keys

API keys let the REST API and MCP clients act on your account. Keep them secret: anything done with your key counts as done by you and spends your credits, and the acceptable-use rules apply to it just the same. Revoke a key on the API keys page as soon as you think it leaked; that takes effect immediately.

7. Your content

Your apps, the descriptions you give us and the results we produce are yours. You let us process them to run the service, as described in the privacy policy. That includes sending page text and screenshots to AI models, only through providers that keep no copy and do not train on them.

8. Results come from AI

Test plans, verdicts, explanations and fix prompts are written by AI. They can be wrong: a test can pass when something is broken, or fail when nothing is. Check the screenshots before you rely on a result. A green map means the tests we ran passed, not that your app is free of bugs, secure or fit for a purpose. Some failed checks get a second opinion from another model, and a test is marked for a human look when the evidence is unclear, but neither makes a result certain.

9. Availability and changes

TestRuna is provided without an uptime guarantee and may change. We can change features and prices; credits you have already bought keep their value, and a new Pro price applies only from a renewal after we have told you about it. If we ever close the service, we will say so at least 30 days in advance. We may update these terms of service and will change the date at the top when we do.

10. Liability

TestRuna is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for changes our browser makes in an app you told it to test. Our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
