How far 2,500 credits go
A scan designs up to 24 tests for an app. Pro’s 2,500 credits a month cover running all of them after four deploys every weekday, or testing four apps each weekday, with a rescan every week included. Most people start on Free, see what the first scan finds, and move to Pro once testing is part of every release.

TestRuna pricing questions
- What is the difference between plan credits and extra credits?
- Plan credits come with your plan: 100 a month on Free, or Pro's allowance for the period you paid for. They are spent first and expire when the period ends. Extra credits are bought as packs, are spent once plan credits run out, and never expire.
- How do quarterly and yearly plans work?
- You pay for the whole period and get all of its credits up front, so a yearly plan gives you twelve months of credits on day one to use at your own pace. Unused plan credits do not carry over to the next period.
- Can I cancel?
- Any time, from the Billing page, in one click. Pro stays active with its credits until the end of the period you paid for, and then you are back on Free. Extra credits stay yours.
- What counts as a test run?
- One test, run once, whether AI records it or replays an earlier recording. Running all 20 tests of an app uses 20 credits, and the Run button tells you the cost before you press it.
- What happens when I run out?
- Nothing is charged automatically. A run that needs more credits than you have does not start, and TestRuna tells you, in the chat or in the API response, with a link to top up. Chat and fix prompts keep working.
- Is there a free trial of Pro?
- Free is the trial: 100 credits every month with every feature, no card needed. If you then buy Pro and change your mind within 14 days without using its credits, you get your money back.
- Do I pay for tests that fail?
- Yes when the test ran and found a problem, because that answer is what the credit buys. No when it could not run: a problem on our side, or one that needs you first, like a missing test login, is refunded automatically.
- Does replaying a test cost less?
- A replay costs 1 credit like any run, but it finishes faster and gives the same answer every time. If a step no longer works because your app changed, AI redoes just that step within the same credit.
- What does a scan do, and when should I rescan?
- A scan opens your app like a new visitor, explores up to 20 pages and designs up to 24 tests from what it finds and from your prompt. Rescan after you add pages or features, so the tests cover them too.
- Can I add my own tests?
- Yes, for free. Describe one in plain English in the chat, such as “a search for MUG in capitals still finds the mug”, and TestRuna adds it to the map. Running it then costs 1 credit like any other test.
- Can one account test several apps?
- Yes, with no limit on apps. Credits belong to your account, so one balance covers every app you add, whether you work in the workspace, over MCP or through the API. Each app keeps its own tests, recordings, test login and report settings.
- Can I get a refund?
- Extra credits you have not used, within 14 days. Your first Pro payment, if you cancel within 14 days without having used its credits. Duplicate charges are always put right. See the terms.
- Is my app used to train AI?
- No. Every AI call goes only to providers with zero data retention that do not train on prompts, and test-account passwords never reach the AI. The privacy policy lists everything we store.
- Can I test any website?
- Only apps you own or have permission to test. TestRuna runs a real browser that clicks and types, so testing someone else's site without asking is off limits (see acceptable use).
